Continuing Education Grants

Thank you for your interest in the American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ (ABHMS) grants for Ministerial Leaders.

Individuals serving in American Baptist Churches are encouraged to apply for our grants to enhance their skills for ministry through related conferences, courses, and events.

American Baptist Home Mission Societies Continuing Education (CE) Applications are accepted in three cycles each year.
Due dates, 5 p.m. EST:

• November 15
• March 15
• July 15

Please note: D.Min and Ph.D. students who do no qualify for LABS or IBS scholarships can apply for one CE grant annually. CE grants are currently the only resource we provide for students at those levels of study. 

*D.Min. and Ph.D. students awarded via LABS or IBS remain eligible for CE grants.

The Continuing Education application encompasses all of the ABHMS applications formerly known as:
– Cultivating NEW LIFE
– Seminarian Continuing Education Grants
– Sabbatical/Study Leave Grants (minimum one month)
