Daryn Bunce Stylianopoulos

“Children are a gift to this world and to our churches,” says Rev. Daryn Bunce Stylianopoulos, Program Director of the American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ Nurturing Children Initiative. “I am passionate about creating spaces where children can flourish in a loving, affirming community.”

In this role, Stylianopoulos equips American Baptist congregations with research-based, developmentally appropriate methods to engage children in intergenerational worship and prayer—nurturing their faith, honoring their unique gifts, and fostering meaningful connections across generations. Her work encourages churches to create safe, creative, and inclusive spaces where children and adults learn from one another, deepening their love for Jesus and their understanding of the church’s calling in the world.

Stylianopoulos is a minister in the Boston area, co-founder of The Welcome Table, serves as a cultural advocate for Massachusetts Baptist Multicultural Ministries and is chair of The Centre for Faith, Art and Justice at First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain. She holds a degree in Music and Anthropology from Wake Forest University and a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. When not engaged in ministry, she enjoys spending time with family, singing, gardening, ceramics, and CrossFit.
