As director of Marketing and Communications, Peter E. Bickel seeks to tell the story of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) and its mission to cultivate leaders, equip disciples, and to heal and transform communities across the United States and Puerto Rico. He seeks to harness the strengths and unique value proposition of ABHMS to attract, enlighten, motivate and delight constituents.
“ABHMS is evolving under insightful leadership,” says Bickel, “and I am delighted to be joining it at such an exciting time. Its mission inspires storytelling that has the power to impact lives and effect positive change in the communities that ABHMS serves.”
Before joining ABHMS, Bickel had founded PebCraft Marketing, Wynnewood, Pa., a boutique marketing consultancy that partners with leaders, staff and other stakeholders of mission-driven organizations to develop and execute strategies that advance overarching priorities, from increasing visibility and burnishing reputation to propelling sustainable growth in rapidly evolving markets.
Bickel earned a Juris Doctor degree at University of California Davis School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications, Management Concentration, summa cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif.
