Jacalyn Barnes

Jacalyn C. Barnes serves as National Coordinator for Learner Engagement in the ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning. Passionate about expanding theological education that is accessible, culturally relevant, and transformative, she helps design and implement learning experiences that deepen faith and strengthen leadership across diverse contexts.

Before joining ABHMS, Barnes was a project manager at Princeton Theological Seminary, leading digital learning initiatives and mentoring a multicultural team of staff and students. She previously directed the Repentance Project, advancing organizational strategy and experiential learning programs, and has consulted widely for nonprofit and professional associations in the United States and abroad.

Barnes holds a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A native of Northern Virginia, she now lives in King of Prussia, Pa.
