ABHMS launches new online experience to better connect ministry leaders, churches, and supporters with its mission
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 08/10/2026)—After months of listening, planning, and careful evaluation of how people engage with the organization, American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) has launched a reimagined website that offers churches, ministry leaders, students, donors, and community partners clearer, more intuitive pathways to the national nonprofit’s ministries, educational opportunities, practical resources, and mission stories.
Optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, the redesign addresses a simple challenge: helping visitors quickly find what they need while also introducing them to the broader scope of ABHMS' work across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Built around a simplified framework featuring two primary entry points—Who We Are and How We Serve—the site guides visitors to leadership development programs, scholarships and grants, educational offerings, ministry initiatives, and opportunities to support the organization's work. The straightforward structure and streamlined navigation also help first-time visitors understand how ABHMS’ ministries work together to cultivate Christ-centered leaders, strengthen congregations, and respond to emerging community needs.
"Our new website has been thoughtfully designed to help people connect more deeply with our mission and the work we share," said Dr. Jeffrey Haggray, executive director of ABHMS. "Whether you're a pastor, a community leader, a longtime supporter, or someone just learning about us, you will easily find the information you seek."
The new online experience also reflects ABHMS' conviction that its work is best understood through the lives it touches. Stories featuring churches, ministry partners, pastors and chaplains, scholarship recipients, and volunteers demonstrate the impact of faithful service and reveal to supporters the consequences of their generosity. Together, these stories show what ABHMS does and why it matters.
"Our goal wasn't simply to build a website with greater visual appeal," said Curtis Ramsey-Lucas, ABHMS’ director of marketing and communications. "It was to create a better experience for the people we serve. If someone leaves with a clearer grasp of who we are, finds a resource that strengthens their ministry, or discovers an opportunity they didn't know existed, then we've done our job."
Online visitors arrive at ABHMS’ website for various reasons. Some are looking for ministry resources. Others want to explore educational opportunities, read stories of impact, or learn how to support the organization's work. ABHMS hopes they leave with a deeper understanding of its ministry and a clearer sense of how they can become part of it.
The redesigned website is available at www.abhms.org.
