Equipping disciples and leaders for faithful ministry in a changing world
The ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning (CCL) is an online learning community designed to equip disciples and ministry leaders with practical, accessible education rooted in Christian faith.
Through courses, cohorts, and digital resources, the center supports lifelong learning that strengthens congregations and prepares leaders for the realities of modern ministry.
By expanding access to ministry education, the Center for Continuous Learning helps disciples deepen their faith while gaining the knowledge and skills needed to lead and serve effectively.
A hub for lifelong learning
The CCL offers an expanding selection of learning opportunities for clergy, lay leaders, and disciples across the American Baptist family and beyond.

Courses cover topics such as leadership development, intercultural engagement, financial stewardship, Baptist identity, and spiritual formation—linking theological reflection with practical ministry.
Everything we do is discipleship
At the CCL, we start with a simple belief: everything we do is discipleship.
To follow Jesus is to embark on a lifelong journey of formation. Disciples are shaped through worship, study, service, and the shared life of Christian community, practices that influence how believers understand the gospel and live it out in the world.
Christian education nurtures that formation. Through teaching, reflection, and shared learning, faith communities help disciples deepen their understanding of scripture and discern how God is calling them to serve.
The CCL supports this mission by providing accessible courses and learning communities that help disciples and leaders grow in wisdom, faith, and faithful ministry.
