For generations, American Baptists have expressed their faith not only in prayer but in service. Volunteer Mobilization helps individuals and groups live out that calling by connecting their time, compassion, and skills with communities that need them most.

Through Volunteer Mobilization, ABHMS coordinates volunteer opportunities across the United States and Puerto Rico. Whether assisting communities recovering from disaster, participating in a mission experience, or offering specialized expertise, volunteers become partners in healing, rebuilding, and hope. Volunteer Mobilization connects willing servants with meaningful opportunities to make a difference. And each act of service becomes a visible sign of God’s care in the world.

Ways to serve

Volunteer Mobilization provides several pathways for individuals, congregations, and groups to participate in mission.

  • Individual Volunteer Missionary Appointments

    Serve through structured volunteer placements that allow individuals to share their gifts and skills in ministry settings across the country.

  • Summer Service Opportunities

    Students and young adults can participate in summer mission experiences that combine service, community, and spiritual formation.
