Ecclesiastical Endorsement
Preparing American Baptist ministers for chaplaincy and specialized ministry
Ecclesiastical endorsement affirms that a minister is authorized to represent the American Baptist tradition in chaplaincy and spiritual caregiving. Through this process, American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) accompanies ministers as they prepare to serve in settings where presence, wisdom, and spiritual care are deeply needed.
How the Process Works
The endorsement journey is intentionally clear and structured. Applicants move through three essential steps:
Confirm your readiness
Submit your application
Participate in review and interview
Each step ensures that candidates meet both American Baptist standards for ministry and the expectations of their chaplaincy setting.
