ABHMS presents 4 national-recognition ministry awards during Mission Summit
Published June 26, 2019VALLEY FORGE, PA (6/26/19)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) presented four 2019 national-recognition ministry awards during American Baptist Churches USA’s Biennial Mission Summit in Virginia Beach. While two were presented at the ABHMS-sponsored Friday evening worship, two others were presented during ABHMS’ luncheon on Saturday.

Published April 2, 2019In 2017, when Hurricane Maria rendered much of Puerto Rico’s roads impassable, stranding residents without supplies, the Rev. Juan Carlos Navarro Centeno, pastor of Segunda Iglesia Bautista de Cidra, was unable to minister in the community via his usual mode of transportation—a wheelchair. But that wasn’t about to stop him.
