American Baptist Home Mission Societies implements Interim Telework Plan

VALLEY FORGE, PA (3/14/20)—Beginning Monday, March 16, the majority of American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ (ABHMS) staff will work remotely to support the nationwide effort to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Pennsylvania’s Montgomery County—the location of ABHMS’ Leadership & Mission Building—currently has the highest concentration of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state. The remote work plan, currently planned to be in effect for three weeks, is a response to Governor Tom Wolf’s call for aggressive actions to mitigate the virus’ spread.

ABHMS business and mission operations will continue with minimal disruption, and staff will continue to be available during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. Contact staff via e-mail or phone at 1.888.79.ABHMS. The Leadership & Mission Building will be closed to visitors.

Guidelines for worshipping and living with faith in the face of this pandemic are available here.
