Judson Press publisher Laura Alden sees ongoing changes in the publishing industry as an opportunity for creativity.
“With so many different content formats and distribution methods today, it’s an exciting time to be producing resources,” she says. “Of course, it’s challenging, too, for a small publisher to offer all of these options. But we are urged on by our mission to give voice to authors and serve audiences who have historically been marginalized.”
As a ministry of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), Judson Press develops leadership and discipleship resources for healing and transformation. These resources include a backlist of 350 book titles (print and e-pub) as well as curriculum and periodicals, such as “Judson Bible Journeys” and “The Secret Place.”
An author herself, Alden has served in a variety of ABHMS and American Baptist organizational roles in management, communications, public relations and publishing. She was commissioned as an American Baptist home missionary in 1983.
