Judson Press releases devotional to inspire Christian writers, speakers
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 4/1/16)—Judson Press, the publishing arm of American Baptist Home Mission Societies, releases a devotional for Christian writers and speakers by five award-winning Christian authors.
As the Ink Flows: Devotions to Inspire Christian Writers & Speakers integrates the craft of writing with the faith of people of the Word, in order to deepen, sustain, and expand ministry in the world. The collection includes 90 devotions written by members of Friends in the Word, a Canadian Christian writers’ group.
Each entry features a Bible verse, a brief meditation on the Scripture and the writing experience, and a prompt for personal reflection and creative response. For ease-of-use, the devotions are organized topically, including: The Craft, Inspiration, Priorities, Life Stories, Wellbeing, Personalities, and Faithfulness.
“As the Ink Flows is a truly inspirational read that will lift your spirits and feed your soul on a daily basis,” says Jen Turano, bestselling and acclaimed author of The Ladies of Distinction and A Class of Their Own series. “A wonderful resource for Christian writers and speakers, it is a book that will be a welcome addition to any personal library.”
Tracey-Ann Van Brenk, a Certified Spiritual Director with Guidepost Ministries states, “This book has reminded me that every day is both a gift and an opportunity to grow in intimacy with God. It has also encouraged me to remember that the joys and struggles I experience as a writer are the very means of grace toward that deepening intimacy. As the Ink Flows can easily be appreciated as a practical guide to incarnational living for those who have been created by God to write.”
