Judson Press releases anniversary edition of timeless resource ‘Addicted to Hurry’
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 10/24/2024)—Judson Press, the publication ministry of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) is thrilled to announce the release of the twentieth-anniversary edition of “Addicted to Hurry: Spiritual Strategies for Slowing Down,” by renowned author, pastor, and professor Dr. Kirk Byron Jones. This latest edition of Jones’ classic work features a new chapter with fresh poetry and reflections intended to help ease the fast-paced pressures of contemporary living.
First published two decades ago, “Addicted to Hurry” has remained a timeless resource for individuals seeking to reclaim their lives from the grips of “busyness” and restore balance. In a modern culture where speed and productivity are prized above personal well-being, Jones offers readers a thoughtful counterpoint—spiritual strategies to help them slow down, reconnect with their faith, and foster inner peace.
The latest edition carries forward the practical tools and reflective questions of the original release, which help readers identify their current pace of life and assist them in cultivating a “sacred, savoring pace” for spiritual well-being. It then enriches the original with new content—poetry and meditations—that encourage mindfulness and spiritual growth.
