ABHMS website to feature prominent individuals for Black, Women’s History months
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 2/1/18)—Beginning today and continuing each Thursday through the end of March, American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) will feature a different prominent Baptist individual on its website in honor of Black History Month in February and Women’s History Month in March.
Having lived in various time periods, ranging from the 1800s to the 2000s, all of these courageous male and female Baptist leaders transformed lives with God’s love—whether through preaching and teaching or advocacy and civil rights.
While they served as the hands, feet and voice of Jesus Christ in their own times and communities, they continue to serve as role models of Christian faith and tenacity, inspiring American Baptists today.
Check back each Thursday at abhms.org.
