ABHMS releases OGHS funds to ABC of Indiana and Kentucky in response to tornadoes
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 12/17/21)—On behalf of American Baptist Churches USA, American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) has released $7,500 in One Great Hour of Sharing disaster-relief funds to American Baptist Churches (ABC) of Indiana and Kentucky in response to recent tornadoes.
At least 38 tornadoes caused significant damage and tragic loss of lives in Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois.
“The grant will enable us to partner with our member churches to provide direct relief to those affected by the recent outbreak of tornadoes in Kentucky,” writes the Rev. James Walter, the region’s interim executive director. “We will partner with congregations as they seek to provide help at this time.”
How you can help
