ABHMS announces expanded benefits for 2026 Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference attendees
Additional learning opportunities, national networks, and ministry resources add value to April gathering in Cleveland
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 02/24/2026)—When faith leaders gather Tuesday through Thursday, April 21–23, in Cleveland, Ohio, for the 2026 Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference, they will find more than just plenaries, workshops, and worship. They will gain extended access to learning opportunities, national networks, and ministry resources designed to support their work beyond the closing benediction Thursday evening.
Organized by American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), this fifth edition of Space for Grace invites pastors, chaplains, spiritual caregivers, educators, seminarians, and faith-based nonprofit leaders to explore the theme “Storytelling: Discovering Its Power for Faith Leaders Today,” inspired by Corinthians 3:2–3. Conferencegoers will examine how storytelling can liberate, connect, and transform communities of faith.
In line with that vision, ABHMS has announced four additional benefits available only to attendees:
- A 30% discount on the first Space for Grace book from Judson Press.
Participants may purchase “Engaging Intergenerational Faith: Creating Space for Grace (Volume 1)” at the Judson Press booth at a reduced rate during the conference. This volume provides an opportunity to revisit insights from the 2024 gathering and extend its impact within local ministry settings. - Complimentary access to a six-part storytelling series from the ABHMS Center for Continuous Learning.
This course, “Storytelling: A Space for Grace Webinar Series,” explores storytelling as sacred space, shaping identity, deepening connection, and recognizing God’s work in the world. Attendees may participate in live sessions or access on-demand replays, integrating the conference theme into ongoing professional formation. - A one-year membership to the American Baptist National Network of Chaplains, Pastoral Counselors & Specialized Ministers.
This network provides connection, support, and collaboration among those serving in specialized ministries. For many network participants, the Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference becomes a gateway to developing longstanding relationships across regions and disciplines. - Free downloads of recorded Conferencia de Liderazgo Intergeneracional (CLI) gatherings hosted by ABHMS’ Latino Ministries.
Through this offering, Space for Grace attendees may access recorded leadership content from Pasadena, Chicago, Puerto Rico, and Berkeley CLI events, resources that underscore ABHMS’ commitment to intercultural learning and intergenerational collaboration.
The benefits mentioned above are valued at over $150, and conference attendees can access them through ABHMS’ ministrElife digital platform. Just download the free ministrElife app from the Apple Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
Registration for the three-day conference is $395, which includes all plenaries, workshops, and worship services. For more information and to register, visit abhms.org/spaceforgrace. The last day to register is April 14.
