ABHMS invites submissions for poster presentations at Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference 2024
VALLEY FORGE, PA (12/21/2023)—The 2024 Spiritual Caregivers Conference Poster Subcommittee of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) is calling out to chaplains, specialized ministers, pastoral counselors and spiritual directors to submit proposals for poster presentations that they want to deliver during ABHMS’ biennial national event, Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference 2024, scheduled April 9-11 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Applications are being accepted electronically and are due no later than January 22, 2024.
The Rev. Dr. Patricia Murphy, BCC, ecclesiastical endorser for American Baptist Churches USA and a member of the poster subcommittee, characterizes this request for poster presentations as a marvelous opportunity for professionals immersed in this special facet of pastoral care to inspire colleagues, stimulate thoughtful discussions and educate on important issues within institutional chaplaincy while “at the same time showcasing your expertise and knowledge.”
Poster presentations can include initiatives, peer-reviewed literature, research or insights drawn from day-to-day experience as spiritual caregivers that highlight innovative models of ministry. Further, proposals that incorporate the 2024 conference theme, “Engaging Intergenerational Faith,” will be favorably considered in the selection process.
The posters of selected presenters will be prominently displayed for the three-day duration of Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference 2024. In addition, there will also be special sessions on Tuesday and Thursday, April 9 and 11, when presenters will be able to interact directly with conferees.
