ABHMS seeks creative works for Biennial Mission Summit 2017
VALLEY FORGE, PA (11/1/16)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) is accepting applications from artists and performers interested in showcasing their artistic expressions at American Baptist Churches USA’s Mission Summit to be held June 30 to July 2, 2017, in Portland, Ore.
Those who may be interested in applying include musicians, bands, vocalists, rap artists, spoken-word artists, liturgical dancers, visual artists, graphic artists, authors, screenwriters, playwrights and poets as well as entrepreneurs of start-up, innovative ministries or organizations that seek to reach marginalized, unchurched or de-churched individuals or groups.
During the Biennial Mission Summit, the performances or works will be shared in a space specially designed to showcase innovative ministry. The works need not be specifically or exclusively Christian but should reflect a world or society view through a Christian lens. Works must be original. Creators must have produced enough work to showcase multiple pieces.
Applications must be submitted online by January 25, 2017.
