  • The Justice Dialogues — Free Speech? Navigating the Intersections of Power, Religion, and Free Expression

We are honored to welcome Holly Hollman as the distinguished guest speaker for the ABHMS Justice Dialogue, where we will engage in a thought-provoking exploration of the theme “Free Speech?” Holly Hollman, a respected authority on religious freedom and the Associate Executive Director and General Counsel for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty, brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our discussion. Her favorite quote, “The problem with a theocracy is those in power think they are Theo!” sets the stage for a critical examination of the intersections between power, religion, and free expression.

Freedom of Speech is a foundation of democracy that has given us the right to publicly express different perspectives as long as our words do not threaten physical harm. We will discuss the value and responsibility of free speech and its connection with religious freedom.
