What’s your passion for ministry?

In these troubled times, there is great need across our land. Where do you find your passion for bringing transformative hope and healing? Named for “passionaries” who do extraordinary things to support mission that changes lives, this new annual giving  fund offers opportunities for supporting ABHMS with generous gifts. The Passionary Fund, vital to ABHMS’ financial stability, will provide more than $1 million in operating revenue each year.

When you give to ABHMS, you can direct your gift to match your passion. Whether you care about changing the life of a child living in poverty, supporting victims of natural disasters, empowering faith leaders, helping congregations meet the challenges of a changing faith landscape or assisting American Baptists meet educational expenses, your gift transforms lives.

Your passion for mission and your gift to ABHMS make you an ABHMS Passionary—“an individual inspired through vision and compassion to change the world for the better!”

1832 Society

Welcome to the ABHMS Planned Giving Website, where you can become a member of the 1832 Legacy Society and learn how to support our ministries by including ABHMS in your long-term financial and estate plans.

The Passionary Fund

The Passionary Fund is vital to ABHMS’ financial stability, providing more than $1 million in operating revenue each year. Your annual fund gift supports key elements of our work. Your gift makes a difference!

Support Our Chaplains

You can make it possible for chaplains to receive training and certification, create new outreach programs, feed those who are hungry, buy medical supplies and take Jesus’ love outside the four walls of the church and be His hands and feet in our world.

Support Our Scholars

American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ Scholarship Fund provides tuition support that reduces the weight of debilitating student-loan debt for undergraduate, graduate and seminary students who struggle to pay in a challenged economy.

America For Christ Offering

Help us continue to bring healing and hope to communities, families, children and Jesus’ disciples in 2024 by supporting this year’s America for Christ Offering.

Beyond The Stained-glass Ceiling Endowment Fund

Help ABHMS support, encourage and advocate for the well-being of black female pastoral leaders by helping to alleviate the economic challenges and related stress they face.

Operation Planting Hope

Your gift serves others in a multitude of ways, from meals for youth in an after-school program and handmade hats, scarves and mittens for children to groceries to sustain a family over a school holiday and office work assistance at a busy social justice agency.
