Megan Biddle
The Rev. Megan Biddle, national coordinator of ministrElife and American Baptist Personnel Services, says her job is all about helping people—no matter what position they hold—to make connections. Maybe an individual needs the help of another person with a particular skill set; ministrElife—ABHMS’ online platform— is the perfect way for them to contact each other.
Furthermore, as a former pastor, she understands the loneliness and isolation of life in ministry.
“It is imperative that we find new ways of sharing worship outside of the church building,” she says. “Due to the COVID-19 virus and its effects, we are seeing why using technology to remain connected in community is imperative. MinistrElife offers opportunities to make those connections and multiple resources for clergy and their congregations.”
A 2020 graduate of the Nehemiah Leadership Network, Biddle was pastor of Federated Church, Carlinville, Ill., as well as First Baptist Church, Central Square, N.Y. She was also an intern at First Baptist Church, Columbus, Ind.
She is excited to note that ministrElife is now powered by Zoom.
