As senior writer/editor at American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), Nadine M. Hasenecz, MSW, LSW, strives to tell the organization’s story in unique and compelling ways.
“More people need to know the ABHMS story and to understand the organization’s ministries,” she says. “ABHMS does so much good across the U.S. mainland and Puerto Rico. So my first order of business with any project is to draw readers in with an enticing lead paragraph so that they keep reading.”
A professional writer and editor for 30 years, Hasenecz puts her love of working with words to good use writing stories about American Baptist home mission, along with news releases, newsletters and Web pages. Hasenecz also edits America for Christ Offering materials, The Christian Citizen magazine, other resources and most anything else that comes through ABHMS’ Communications office.
Hasenecz says she is grateful to be blessed with meaningful work at ABHMS that can help to make a difference in people’s lives, even if only indirectly and in a small way.
“I so admire ABHMS’ commitment to social justice,” she says. “Working at ABHMS lets me contribute to the greater good. It’s more than just ‘a job.’”
