As investments accountant for American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), Gina Haas handles both internal and external investments for the organization’s Common Investment Fund (CIF). Her duties include reviewing CIF custodial statements and processing receipts/disbursements for CIF investors.
“I am thrilled to put my accounting skills to work in a nonprofit organization,” she says. “I feel fortunate to play a role in the stewardship of ABHMS’ financial resources, which are available to improve people’s lives and the world.”
Haas is no stranger to the nonprofit sector, having worked with endowments at Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. Other roles have included those at Santander Bank and J. Knipper and Co. Inc. In addition to her professional experience, Haas has served as treasurer and cookie manager of a Girl Scouts of America troop as well as treasurer of a local parent-teacher organization.
Haas is a Sunday school teacher and avid reader. Free time with her husband and two daughters is spent playing with the family dog, skiing, traveling, biking, hiking and relaxing.
