ABHMS biennial national gathering offers in-person and virtual conferencegoers uncommon value
VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 03/08/2024)—ABHMS has extended to March 25 the registration cutoff for those desiring to attend its flagship national event, the 2024 Space for Grace & Spiritual Caregivers Conference: “Engaging Intergenerational Faith,” in person. The gathering is April 9-11, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Event organizers stress the uncommon value that in-person conferees will enjoy for their $445 registration fee, while noting that virtual attendees can live stream the plenary sessions and most of the learning experiences for a modest fee of $95 for individuals or $145 for groups. Registration for the online experience ends April 11.

Inspiring a dream: Rev. Dr. Prathia Hall
In celebration of African American History Month, ABHMS spotlights a remarkable woman of God, the Reverend Dr. Prathia Hall (January 1, 1940 – August 12, 2002). Raised in Philadelphia, this daughter of a Baptist preacher matured to become a leader-activist in the Civil Rights Movement. Said to have been an inspiration for the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, Hall was a noted womanist theologian and ethicist. She was also one of the first women ordained American Baptist.

Instructor: Jennifer Sanborn, M.A. (Spirituality) and M.S. (Higher Education), leads the CCL’s offerings in faithful finance and vocational discernment, drawing on 25 years of leadership in colleges, universities, and a seminary, pastoring a local church, and launching a young adult service community. Jennifer enjoys building authentic community online and in person, and is trained as a coach for ministry contexts.
